STS WORLD WIDE

Questions about the application

Do I have to have good grades to be accepted?
In order to be accepted to the program you have to have an average grade corresponding to C in all subjects. In certain cases, a subject with a lower grade may be approved under certain circumstances. Should the program demand previous knowledge in a particular language and this language is offered as a school subject you have to have an average grade in that language. You cannot have less than average in one of the principal subjects.

Can I choose area/state?
STS offers an area choice in the USA and France where we divide each country in a number of regions. There are several states in this area so a certain region does not gurantee a specific state. There is a fee for this area choice and please note that this is to be considered a request, not a guarantee.

Do I have to take all vaccinations for the USA?
Yes, you do. The vaccinations are a demand from the schools in the USA and if you have not taken all the vaccinations the school may opt not to accept the student, or alternatively demand that the student takes remaining vaccination upon arrival. In the USA a vaccination may cost up to 100 dollars.

Do I have to know the language of the program country to apply?
No, not for all our program countries. In certain cases it is sufficient to speak English, also for non-English speaking countries. Please see the page of your program country for more information.

Do I need a visa and, if so, how do I apply for it?
For some program countries you need a visa issued by the embassy of the current country. STS helps you with your application but it is your own responsibility to make sure that you receive you visa in good time. Please see the page of your program country for more information.
