Questions about school
Can I count the year abroad in the school in my home country?
If you get permission from the Principal in your school it is possible to get your year abroad included in your grades. Speak to your school about what rules apply for you. You have a right to get your studies abroad documented in your final grades.
Will I be able to graduate and get a high school diploma?
This is up to the school board of the school you will attend during your high school year, and STS cannot influence this decision.
What subjects will I study?
This varies depending on program country and school. Generally the schools demand that you study certain mandatory subjects, and then you get to choose some subjects yourself. Examples of subjects which are often mandatory are History, English (or the current country's language) and Mathematics.
Will there be more exchange students in my school?
This varies from school to school. STS does generally not place two or more students of the same nationality in the same school.
Will I receive grades?
This is up to the school board of the school where you will study during your ditt high school year, and STS cannot influence this decision.
How big a school will I attend?
STS works with both big and small schools. New schools are added every year so we cannot say in advance what type of school a student will attend.
